Celtic 1 - 0 Dunfermline
Celtic cruised to the SPL title this season, building a huge early second lead and ending up 12 points ahead of second place Rangers. Dunfermline, meanwhile, were relegated after finishing in last place, 52 points behind Celtic. Yet these two clubs from either end of the Scottish Premier League table met in the Scottish Cup final today. You may have predicted a big win for Celtic, but it took a late goal from Jean-Joel Perrier Doumbe to break a scoreless tie. In the 85th minute, Craig Beattie's pass was deflected to Doumbe, who scored from close ranges. The win gave Celtic their 34th Scottish Cup, and a league and cup double for the 2006-07 season.
