AC Milan 2 - 1 Liverpool
In a rematch of the 2005 final, AC Milan turned the tables on Liverpool to win the 2007 Champions League. Liverpool controlled most of the possession in the first half, but AC Milan scored against the run of play just before the half time whistle. Andrea Pirlo's free kick was inadvertently deflected by Pippo Inzaghi into the Liverpool net as keeper Pepe Reina was wrong-footed. Liverpool pressed for the tying goal in the second half, but could not find a finishing touch. In the 82nd minute, Milan's Kaka played a through ball to Inzaghi who rolled the ball under a diving Reina and into the goal for a 2-1 lead.

Pippo Inzaghi scores his second goal to put Milan up 2-0.
Liverpool didn't give up, though, and were rewarded with a goal in the 89th minute. A corner kick from Harry Kewell was flicked on by Daniel Agger, and Dirk Kuyt headed in at the back post. But time ran out on Liverpool's comeback this time as AC Milan held on for a 2-1 win.
